Akhbar Alyoum reports that Benishangul citizens, and Benishangul Human Rights Foundation, have conducted a vigil in front of United Nations premises in Khartoum, with participation of community organizations.

The paper also reports that PM Hamdok has met yesterday in his office, the UN special representative for Sudan and Head of United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) Volker Perthes, in the presence of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Khalid Omer Yousif, and the Head of the National Mechanism for Coordination with UNITAMS, Omer al-Sheik.

Assayha quotes leader in the Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA), Ismail at-Taj as claiming the Transitional Government’s success depends on scaling back the PM office, developing clear and precise terms of reference to his advisors without interfering in executive work.
