The report stated that Israeli air jets have been persistent in shelling high-rise buildings in Gaza, with Israel upping its ante of troops and tanks deployed adjacently to the strip.
“Hundreds of families are now evacuating their homes in the north of Gaza because of the heavy artillery shells landing”, the report said.
The sustained Israeli attacks on the besieged Palestinian enclave have continued despite calls from the international community and the UN to stop the on-going destruction and the forceful evictions.
At the very moment, the Israeli attacks have accumulated death in the hundreds, as health officials have reported that the death toll in Gaza has risen to 103.
Sheikh Jarrah, an affluent neighborhood in Palestine’s East Jerusalem, is the scene of the evictions.
The neighborhood is named after the personal physician to Saladin, the Muslim conqueror who seized Jerusalem from the crusaders in the battle of Hattin in 1187.
