According to what was reported by the Bahraini News Agency, this came during the the Speaker of the House of Representatives’ reception of the Sudanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Hassan, Tuesday.

During the meeting, Zainal praised the fruitful efforts made by the Sudanese ambassador during his tenure, upgrading bilateral relations, and enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, the Sudanese ambassador expressed his appreciation for the firm and supportive stances of the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising Bahrain’s efforts in supporting development cooperation with Sudan and promoting joint Arab action in all forums and fields.

Bahrain and Sudan share a number of common and similar positions.

Al-Manama and Khartoum had angered Tel Aviv after supporting the United Nations Human Rights Council’s formation of the Education Committee in the Gaza Strip early this month.

Israeli foreign affairs had made it clear to Manama and Khartoum that Israel was not satisfied with the way they voted.

This support came despite Bahrain and Sudan being among countries that normalized their relations with Israel at the end of last year.
