Inflation slowdown in Sudan for first time in months

Inflation levels in Sudan are showing signs of slowdown, reaching 387.6% during the month of August, for the first time in months.

According to Bloomberg, the inflation rate in Sudan achieved a slowdown compared to prior months, reaching only 387.6% for the month of August.
The Bloomberg report mentioned that the drop from the 422.8% in July came as costs for foodstuffs and imported good both witnessed slowdowns as per the Central Bureau of Statistics.
The Bloomberg reported hinted that pressures on Sudanese consumers may start easing up after having suffered throughout months due to the country being in an unprecedented economic disadvantage.
Back in June, the Sudanese inflation rate had officially exceeded the 400% threshold when it was recorded at 412.7%.
