Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared Monday in first appearance at the presidential palace since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine last February.
Zelensky spoke in a 9-minute video clip that was broadcast in news channels worldwide from behind his desk in the presidential palace.
He revealed out that the Ukrainian army maintains its positions still, that it is still in Kyiv, and fears no one.
“The Ukrainian army is inflicting very painful losses on the Russian forces,” Zelensky said. “We will rebuild our cities destroyed by [Russian] invaders better than any city in Russia.”
On the agreement with Russia to establish humanitarian corridors, Zelensky said that “the Russians destroyed the buses transporting people abroad.”
Regarding the third round of negotiations that took place in Belarus, the Ukrainian president said that they were willing on insisting “on negotiations until we find a way to tell our people: this is how we will reach peace.”
