SLA says news attacks took place in Jebel Moon

The Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) movement, led by Abdel Wahed Nur, said that government forces re-attacked today the Jebel Moon area in West Darfur for the second day in a row.

In a statement, the SLA pointed out that the repeated attack on the Jebel Moon areas and the systematic targeting of citizens were aimed at controlling lands, resources, and minerals in the area, and that government forces wanted to repeat what they did in Jebel Amer, Radom and other areas in Darfur.

It stressed that these attacks were directed and planned by the leaders of the coup in Sudan, and said that “it is not a coincidence that the network coverage is cut off from the region in conjunction with every attack that occurs.”

In this context, the Sudanese Congress Party condemned the “violent events and bloody crimes committed by the brutal coup forces forces”, yesterday, Thursday.

In a statement released today, the SCP said that “thirty martyrs died in an armed attack on the villages of Jebel Moon in West Darfur, in conjunction with excessive violence and the use of bullets and tear gas canisters in the face of millions of processions on March 10, 2022 in the capital.”

The party saw the resort to more violence and killing by the brutal coup authority as evidence of its complete inability and abject failure to break the will of the peaceful mass movement aimed at overthrowing it.

The miserable coup authority will find from us nothing but redoubled efforts to expand the base of the peaceful and resistive mass movement, to form the broadest popular resistance front to defeat the coup, through a variety of methods,” the statement continued.
