The National Ummah Party held a lengthy meeting with the Chinese delegation headed by the Special Envoy to the Middle East Zhai Jun.
According to the Ummah Party statement, the meeting discussed the bilateral relations between China and Sudan, issues of common interest, and the bilateral relations between the Ummah Party and the Chinese Communist Party.
Delegation head Special Envoy Zhai Jun stated that China has special interest vested in Sudan, and assured of the continuous Chinese support for Sudanese people in all areas.
From his side, National Ummah head Fadul Allah Barma Nasir thanked the delegation for visiting the country and for China’s keenness on developing relations with Sudan.
Nasir stated that his party desires to establish distinguished relations with China for the benefit of both countries.
He emphasized the importance of the continuation of these long established relations.
Nasir, speaking on the current crisis the country is living through, said that the Ummah party was keen on fostering internal hegemony that would help stabilize the country.
In a related context, the president of the putschist sovereignty council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, had also met with the Chinese delegate.
Al-Burhan had also expressed appreciation for the long established “strategic” Sudanese – Chinese relations.
