Sudan beats Congo in second round of CAF qualifiers

The Sudanese national team returned to victory path with its 2-1 win over the Congolese national team in the CAF qualifiers.

The two sides met at Al-Hilal’s stadium in Omdurman on Wednesday for the second round of the African Cup of Nations (CAF) qualifiers.

The Sudanese side benefitted heavily from Mohammed Abdulrahman’s performance, who assisted a goal and scored another.

Abdulrahman assisted Waleed al-Sho’la’s opener at the 16th minute, and added the second at the 87th minute.

The substitute Jonathan Bolingi pulled one back for the Congolese national team at the third minute of loss time.

The Sudanese national team had lost the previous game in the CAF qualifiers, conceding three goals to the Mauritanian national team.
